Chick Hatching Programmes

We offer an educational "full cycle" incubation experience for your classroom, home and senior's residences. An incubator, fertilized eggs, resource material and supplies are provided. Once the eggs have hatched, all hatchlings and the incubator are returned to Green Acres. The hatchlings are then safely re-homed with a select group of caring farmers. Pick up and delivery is available. Choose from Incubator and Kit Rental or Kit Rental Only during our 2011-2012 rental sessions as outlined below.

Automatic turners are available for rent at a cost of $90.00. Limited number available per session.

Session 2: Pick up Jan. 18, 2012- return Feb. 15, 2012
Session 3: Pick up March 28, 2012 - return April 25, 2012
* For this session you must have access to the incubator over Easter Weekend or be prepared to take the incubator home.
Session 4: Pick up May 9, 2012 - return June 6, 2012

Cancellation policy - Deposit is non-refundable if written notice of cancellation is not received by the Outdoor Education office 21 days prior to set up.

We Service TX6 incubators, offering regular maintenance, cleaning, re-wicking and testing.

Parts - in-stock for TX6 incubators, ie. new thermometers and wicks

NEW - For Senior's Facilities

We are now offering to bring a Presentation to your facility to enhance your hatching experience.

Presentations are approximately 30-45 minutes and are available in September, and from November through April.

Base cost is $150.00 plus mileage if applicable. Please contact our office for more details.
