Who We Are
Green Acres is an outdoor education facility featuring a composite farm, offering a wide variety of learning opportunities for young people. We are chartered as a non-profit organization and are a smoke free environment.

What We Offer
Our programmes are designed to challenge and enrich participants. A healthy balance between academic pursuits and recreational endeavours has been created. Our dedicated and competent Outdoor Education Instructors are trained to work with a variety of age groups to deliver grade appropriate activities. The programmes are designed to complement the curriculum and ensure a positive educational experience.

Regular flush toilets and running water for handwashing are available May thru October, weather permitting.

Who Can Attend?
Programmes are available for students in Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 8, as well as pre-school children, special needs groups and homeschooled children.

For homeschoolers, we will organize activities and programs based on your group's varied ages and abilities.

When Are The Programmes Available?
Our programmes run between 10:00 and 2:00, Monday through Friday throughout the school year.

Programmes continue in all types of weather, with modifications and utilization of indoor facilities if needed. Participants must be appropriately dressed for the weather.

Where Is Green Acres?
Our facility is on the east side of Kennedy Road, about three kilometres north of Major MacKenzie Road.
